I Belong To God

1 Cor.6:19 - Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom you have from God, and you are not your own? In the natural we think of a temple as a place where people go to worship, fellowship with others, receive a message, and be inspired to walk with God. There is a sense of holiness and respect. Paul is telling us that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God has come to live on the inside of us. Should we respect a building made of sheetrock and wood more then we do the dwelling place of the Living God? Are we honoring the place where God has chosen to take up residency, by taking care of ourselves spiritually, emotionally and physically? Or, is our temple in disrepair, out of control, and overwhelmed by life? Have you allowed the enemy to vandalize your mind with graffiti, depression and fear? Is your body dictating to you what you can and can't do? Are you spiritually drained and weary? Friends, we belong to God. Is it time to do some renovations to your temple?
