I Cor. 15:58Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord (always doing your best and doing more than is needed), being continually aware that you labor (even to the point of exhaustion) in the Lord is not futile nor wasted (it is never without purpose). Why is it that we will work for "the man" giving our all, doing our best to get ahead, putting in long hours, yet when it comes to serving "kingdom purposes" we don't put forth the same effort? It seems that we have gotten things out of order. Our drive and purpose should not be to expend all our energy pursuing the things of this life, which is temporal and fleeting, but to pursue the eternal things. Many are so exhausted that they have nothing left to give. There is great heavenly rewards in doing the work of the ministry, serving in your local church, witnessing and giving of one's self to keep heaven's purposes at the forefront of our lives. Ask God to show you where you can get connected and then give Him your best.
