A New Commandment

Jn. 14:21 Message Bible - "The person who knows My commandments and keeps them, that's who loves Me. And the person who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and make Myself plain to him.The New Testament Church has been given a New Commandment which sums up all of the Old in one word, "LOVE." Jn. 13:34 Jesus said, "A new commandment I give to you that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another." If you love others as Christ loves you, you are not going to kill, lie, covet what others have, commit adultery towards anyone, because the new commandment of love will constrain you. So if we say that we love God, we will operate in this new commandment of love. When we miss it, we will be quick to forgive others and ourselves. Love is patient and kind. Love doesn't envy, it is not full of pride, it is not rude and selfish. Love doesn't easily get mad and it believes the best of others. It doesn't rejoice at sin, but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things hopes all things, and endures all things. Love NEVER fails!
