Heb. 12:11-13 NLT- No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening - it's painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for me when I train myself this way. So I take a new grip with my hands and strengthen my knees. I mark out a straight path for my feet so that I will not fall but become strong. No one likes to be corrected or told that what they are doing is wrong, especially if it is done in a demeaning, harsh way. But correction and discipline can bring great growth in our lives when we receive it from our Loving Heavenly Father. He only has our best interests at heart and He sees the big picture, we don't. If there is some area in your life that you just sense the Holy Spirit nudging you, "You need to stop that, you need to correct that, you need to do that" don't put it off any longer. He knows the difficulty and the pain of obedience. He went all the way to the cross, in total obedience, for you and for me. So, get a grip and do it! He will strengthen you all the way.
