What Are You Thinking About?

Phil. 4:8 I choose to think on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - I think about such things. Brain research has shown that we send ourselves messages at a rate of nearly 500 words per minute. That can either be a good thing or a bad thing. If your thoughts are positive, uplifting, encouraging, and bring glory to God, that's a good thing. But, if your thoughts are negative, self-indulging, always putting things and others down, these are wrong thoughts. The only way you and I are going to gain control of our thoughts is by filling our mind with God's thoughts. God's Word is God speaking to us and if we even choose one scripture a day to meditate on it will get the wrong thinking out and get the right thinking in. Try it! Take one scripture, write it down and look at it throughout your day. Speak it out loud when you can. Proverbs tells us that God's Words are life, health, healing medicine to all our flesh. Just think what right thinking will do for you.
