1Cor. 6:12 Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial for me. I will not be dominated or mastered by anything. Webster's defines beneficial as being advantageous; favorable. Stop and think about some of the choices and decisions you have made or are about to make. Are they going to be beneficial to you, to your family, to your walk with God? Every day you and I have the opportunity to choose. Our choices not only affect us, but they affect those around us. It's important that we ask ourselves the question, "Is what I am about to do going to benefit me?" If it's something that will steal from your life, something that will pull you further away from your walk with God, something that will cause others to stumble in their walk because of your choices, maybe it is something to let go of. Don't allow anything to dominate your life in a manner that you are under its control.
