Jn. 3:18 He who believes in Him, who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him is not judged (he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation - he incurs no damnation). Condemnation is a tool of the enemy to press you down and put you under the burden of guilt and shame. Conviction is something entirely different. Conviction is used by God as a means of lifting you out of areas that will stop the plan He has for your life. Conviction is meant to let us know that if you continue on that path it may lead to broken fellowship, harm and even death. Conviction acts like a gage that tells us when we may be stepping out from under God's protective covering. In other words, "It's a good thing to keep us going down the center of the road!". It will keep us from falling into the deceptive traps of the enemy. You've heard the statement, "If it feels good do it!"Well, in this case, if something is scratching on the inside and just doesn't seem right, don't override that, it's the Holy Spirit bringing conviction. His conviction never condemns us, it lifts us to higher places in God's great plan for our lives.
