James 1:22 NIV "Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." Many times we wonder why our lives are in a mess? Why things just don't seem to be working out the way we thought? We go to church, listen to teaching tapes, we even spend time reading the Bible, but things don's seem to change. Funny thing, you can read, study, even go to church twice a week, but until you start applying the Word to your life nothing will change. All that Word will just lay there dormant. It's not until we take the Word of God and become doers of it, that it is activated in our lives. The wonderful thing is, it will work in any and all areas of your life. If I have financial struggles and I begin to apply the Word by tithing, giving and sowing, the Word will begin to release the increase back into my life. If I start walking in love and forgiveness towards others, the Word will release the power of God's love into my relationships. Whatever area you need to see change, begin to DO what the Word says and watch what God will do. Don't just listen, DO IT!
