Prov. 19:23 Amp. The reverent, worshipful fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it rests satisfied; he cannot be visited with actual evil. Are you living a satisfied life? Are you pleased with where your life is going? If not, perhaps it is time to get a check up. No, not a physical one, a spiritual one. If the fear of the Lord leads to life and genuine satisfaction, no matter what your circumstances are, then don't you think that this would be a subject worth looking into? God doesn't want us to be afraid of Him, as you would be afraid of a wicked, mean person. The fear of the Lord means that we reverence, honor, esteem, and have a high respect for who He is. It means that I desire to please Him in all I do. I never want to do, say, or allow anything in my life that would grieve or dishonor Him in any way. Yes, I will make mistakes, but I am quick to repent because I love Him so. When you and I operate in this reverent, worshipful fear, God Himself, will protect us, keep us, and bring a satisfaction to our lives that only He can give. Is it time for a check up?
