Jn. 12:24 Amp. Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just one grain; it never becomes more but lives by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest. Did you know that your life has the potential to yield a rich harvest for the kingdom of God? It all has to do with our willingness to die to ourselves and to live for Him. Think about it in terms of a seed kernel of wheat. When you place one kernel in the ground it certainly doesn't look like much, but within that kernel is the power to reproduce a stalk and on that stalk there will grow several hundred heads of wheat. The only way that takes place is when that single kernel lay beneath the dirt, which allowed the tough outer shell to die, exposing the tender inner seed allowing it to grow and reproduce. When you and I humble ourselves under God's hand, commit our lives 100% to Him, we are like that kernel of wheat. This gives Him permission to germinate the plan He has placed within our hearts. Instead of being a loner, doing our own thing, our life now has the potential to touch many, yielding a rich harvest of souls for the kingdom.
