Phil. 4:4,6 Rejoice in the Lord always...again I say, Rejoice!...Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in ...everything, by prayer and petition,...with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Wouldn't it be amazing if when we first were faced with a challenging situation we found one thing to rejoice about? Instead of just looking at all the negative things, we lifted our voice and our hands, right in the face of that thing, and we rejoiced. I believe if we would be quick to respond with a heart of gratefulness and thanksgiving, for all the good things God has done for us, how He has always brought us through, how He has never failed us, and how faithful He is, we would be lifted to a place where the weight of that thing could not get on us. I believe, that a rejoicing, thankful heart acts as a shield round about us. It is a defense mechanism against the onslaught of the enemy. So, rejoice and again I say rejoice!
