Good morning! James 3:2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to brindle the whole body. We all make mistakes from time to time. This is true, and thank God for the cleansing power of His blood which enables us to get forgiven and get right back up. But, you can see in this verse that our words have something to do with the outcome and direction of our lives. If you don't like the direction your life is going, you can change it with the words of your mouth. Our words always need to be in agreement with God's Word. It doesn't matter what a situation looks like, it matters what I believe and what I hook my mouth up with. Am I hooking up with unproductive, unbenificial, idle and useless words that are fueled by the Devil's lies? Through hooking up with the promises of God, I can steer my life in the direction I want it to go. You and I can prophesy our own destinies, either for success or failure. This verse says that when we control our tongue, we are a perfect man. This doesn't mean we never make mistakes, it means that we are complete, whole, lacking nothing because our hope and trust are in God and His Word. My question to you is, "Where have you been hooking your mouth?" It only takes a moment to make an adjustment and get hooked with the Word of God.
