Good morning! 1 Tim. 2:1,2,3 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. Many are not happy with the outcome of this election. Angry words, threats and protests are taking place throughout our Nation. It would be easy to allow the negative things we see and hear to influence our lives. No matter who you voted for, no matter what the outcome, you and I are called to pray for our leaders. God has given us the mandate and the authority to pray from the highest position there is, the throne of God. As Christians, we are seated in a place of authority, at the right hand of God. From this place, we can pray for our leaders. This gives God the ability to influence them with His wisdom, His plans, and His direction. When we pray for our leaders, God's anointing will turn their hearts, just as the waters of a river turn and weave back and forth through the land. (Prov. 21:1) Our prayers prepare a highway for God to move on. Let's not slip back into complacency or throw up our hands as if all is lost. PRAY!
